FUS Hard Hat Update

August 7, 2008

Greetings...
From the suddenly quiet peak of Isom's Sand Hill.  Check your Shorewood Hills history for that one!

Sidewalk Superintending
Welcome to the sidewalks! The fence is down, although the addition is closed to protect the floors. Window peeping is allowed; pull some weeds while you're there.

Parking
The lot will have its first layer of asphalt on Thursday, making it easier for us and less dusty for our neighbors. If you haven’t yet seen it, the arrangement of cars is different. All cars now point toward either the Meeting House or Marshall Court. The new system worked went well last Sunday. So allow extra time, and be kind.

Volunteering
As we get closer to completion, I expect people will be inspired to contribute in ways we in the center of things have not imagined. Rae Gilbertson (rg@mailbag.com) is our clearing house for ideas of every stripe.

Editing/Writing:  LEED requires that we have a manual that outines our green cleaning procedures. The City of Madison has such a document, but it is a little more thorough than we need, plus it says "city" in it a lot of places where we would like to see "FUS." So, we need someone to make that prose our own. Let us know if you're that person.
