Education Hall

The Music room floor.
Greetings from the gray floors!
Although this week is traditionally the slowest week of the year in construction, (due to the deer hunting season) there has not been a noticeable drop in activity. The concrete is advancing steadily from west to east.
The Lower Level floor is complete as far as the bathrooms, including the ramps. If you look carefully in the photograph you can see the radiant heating tubes snaking above the Styrofoam, but within the concrete floor.
The building is laid out as a series of curves set with the pulpit of the historic Auditorium at the center. Each curve has a letter designation (A Line, B Line, etc.). The radii are designated numerically. Today is the final pour on the 25 Line, which is the north wall of the Auditorium. If you squint and look with your mind’s eye, you can start to see the shape of our new worship space.
Next week we will pour the row of columns that are at the back of the auditorium.
