Hard Hat Update

February 20, 2008

Decking the roof at 10 degrees.

Greetings!

Just how cold is it?  I looked out the window on Sunday and thought, “What next?” So now we’re thinking of fifteen degrees as a thaw. It’s usually warmer on the roof, but the crew is really hanging in there. My trailer office is toasty and the view is not too bad.

Sidewalk Superintending

Starting from the east: The entry door is in line with the fifth column from the left end. There are now gray brackets welded to the big south wall. These will support the square columns that support the roof trusses. The Upper crossing roof decking is almost complete,  and the decking for the lower crossing ceiling is starting to appear. It will eventually be covered with a red concrete floor. Looking over to the west courtyard, the overhanging eaves are now visible.
