April 2, 2008Greetings……from the red doors. We’re in a world of dirt!Monday’s rain turned our yard into a mass of sticky, sandy mud. Then the trenching started on Tuesday. We are on 200 feet of sand, but it is not the sandbox stuff. Too sticky! RoofThis week’s action is on the upper crossing. The orange pipe is the sprinkler that is filled with antifreeze. The black sheeting on the eaves is snow and ice guard, to be eventually covered with copper.WindowsThe window frames in the classrooms are in, with red doors! When the windows are in, we can start preparing the West Courtyard for planting.Volunteer!Speaking of planting… These include but are not limited to: planting, painting classrooms, terminating data lines, making library shelves, and things we have yet to think of. We intend to organize these in a way so that they are not onerous. So please set aside some weekends from late April on so you can join in the fun. David Weber |
