Greetings
It’s hard to believe that 58 degrees would ever feel chilly. Progress continues apace, accompanied by the cacophonous chorus of beeping lifts, each with its own unique tone.
Sidewalk Superintending
The long wall of glass is in. When the trailers are gone, the reflections will be a little more pleasing to the eye. The glass for the connecting link to the B wing goes in on Friday. The greatest change is the appearance of window framing for the east wall. By Sunday, most of the glass should be in. All the plants are in the West Courtyard. We need to get some more topsoil, and then we can plant grass.
Out of Sight
Insulation has been blown into the ceilings in the Kitchen and other lower crossing rooms. In the Auditorium, the west wall is stained, the sprinklers are up, the projection screen is in place, and the south wall is being wired for light. The elevator is getting unpacked, and the first parts are in. The final ceiling trims pieces in the Upper Crossing are done, echoing the way Wright had glass panes disappear into the ceiling. It is trickier if you want to comply with the Building Code. In the Classroom, the cabinets and door frames are in.
Tours
I am planning to lead tours after both services on Sunday. Look for me in the Hearthroom.

Last week I neglected to thank Bob Wood, our rototiller consultant.
