Greetings It’s still a dirty business. The parking lot continues to be a source of dust and dirt, as we keep removing sand and adding gravel. Last Friday a dump truck loaded with gravel revealed three soft spots by sinking in about 12 inches. These required excavation and filling with stone to make a stable solid surface for parking Although we intended to save the locust trees that grew in the parking lot, their root systems proved to be quite shallow, and after we dug around them for the parking lot, they were not stable. It is better and easier to replace them now, rather than waiting for them to fall over or die. The railings are getting their maple caps with aircraft cables below. Because of the curves, they require a lot of cutting and fitting. Wood trim will be completed by the end of this week. What’s Going to Happen Volunteers
