Opportunities for Involvement
The Social Justice Council provides the FUS community with
a wide variety of opportunities for involvement in social justice issues and
activities. Please review the current opportunites as of October 11, 2006.
Economic Justice Committee
Interfaith Hospitality Network Buddy Congregation Volunteers. Our next week is October 29-November 5, 2006. We currently have unfilled volunteer needs for evening activity leaders on Wednesday November 1, and Friday November 3. We also are in need of two overnight hosts for Monday October 30, Wednesday November 1 and Friday November 3rd. For more information please contact Melanie Witte at melaniewitte@charter.net
FUS serves the dinner meal (Saturday night) and the breakfast meal (Sunday morning) at the Men's Shelter at Grace Episcopal the third weekend of every month. We currently need help with breakfasts! Contact Anne Pryor at bluezinnias@yahoo.com
