Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed
citizens can change
the world: Indeed it's the only thing
that ever has. - Margaret Mead

The Social Justice Council provides the First Unitarian Society congregation with actions of witness, community service, education, advocacy and community organizing opportunities. Newcomers are always welcome in our committees and task forces. The FUS Social Justice Program will periodically list ACTIONS in response to situations ranging from the local to the international require our attention and our voices.
This year, the Social Justice Council will continue work on a multi-committee project on water issues, both local and global. The Environmental Action Committee, Human Rights Committee, Economic Justice Committee, and Peace and Justice Committee will offer different perspectives on protection of and access to clean water throughout the world. Visit our WATER page to learn more.
