September 3 – How Much is a Person Worth, 9 & 11 a.m.
Through the lens of “the inherent worth and dignity of every person,” how are we called to respond to pragmatic questions such as fair wages, immigrant workers, or job safety? This Sunday, we will explore the demands of a proclamation that each human has a worth to us. How much are we willing to pay, and how much will we risk, for the benefit of which category of persons? On this Labor Day weekend, we welcome to our pulpit Becky Schigiel, who served FUS for four years, as our Social Justice Coordinator. Her current priorities include protecting Wisconsin workplaces from immigration raids and building deeper relationships among unions, people of faith, and low-wage workers.
Music Director Dan Broner will play organ music from France including the mighty Widor Toccata.
