December 2 & 3 – God Only Knows

While Americans commonly ascribe to God many of the mental and emotional (if not physical) characteristics possessed by humans, Unitarian Universalists hold widely divergent views of the deity. Few, however, describe God in temperamental terms or conceive of him/her as an entity with whom one can establish a personal rapport.  An old joke says that if UU’s pray, it is “to whom it may concern.” In any case, as we enter the holiday season I plan to make one last foray into the God question.

Violinist Beth Larson and pianist Dan Broner will perform Saturday. Cellist Philip Delaquess and pianist Dan Broner will play Six Studies in English Folk Song by Vaughan Williams at Sunday services.
