Good Friday & Easter Services – April 19 & 21

April 19 @ 5pm
“Good Friday Service”
Douglas Wadkins, Interim Senior Minister

Tenebrae is a service that honors the parallels in the Gospel narratives around the final days of Jesus’ life and our own times of difficult and mortality. Through the use of music, candles, reflection, and liturgy the service invites to explore the depth of our feelings around the motifs of Easter and Lent.

*There will be no service on Saturday, April 20.

April 21 @ 9 am in the Atrium
“Easter Family Service: Celebrate Spring, Celebrate Earth, Celebrate Life”
Kelly J. Crocker, Minister of Congregational Life & Heather Thorpe, Children’s Choir Director

April 21 @ 9 am & 11 am in the Landmark
“Jesus the Liberator”
Douglas Wadkins, Interim Senior Minister

This Easter Sunday service will intermingle the spiritual and the political. This understanding of the place of faith in the daily lives of people is consistent with the time of Jesus. In this season, when we explore the mystery of an image where that which is dead is born again, how might we understand this image in light of our current world and our current lives?
On this Earth Day weekend, join us as we celebrate this season of new life and hope with story and song. Meeting House Chorus and brass quintet will perform.
