January 13 & 14 – “For Those Who Wish to Resign the White Race”

70 years ago, the head minister of this congregation, Kenneth Patton, took to our pulpit to formally resign from the “white race.” As we look back on the life of Martin Luther King, what can we learn about how to live in a world where the biological illusion of race is still very much a societal realty? Join us as we examine how truly “fragile” our whiteness is and must be and how we can work together for change.
