“Emotional labor,” a term coined by Arlie Russell Hochschild in 1983 has exploded in popularity in recent years as we work to understand how the job field and the home remain deeply gendered. On Saturday, the Cherub and Chorister Choirs will sing, and on Sunday, the Teen Choir, directed by Heather Thorpe, will sing.
