October 20 & 21 – “Sanctuary, Within and Among Us”
In June 2017, we voted to become an official Sanctuary Congregation. We have been physically preparing our space to host someone when the need arises. How do we create sanctuary space within our own hearts: refuge for ourselves when the world is a difficult place? How can the concept of sanctuary live among us and prepare us, emotionally and spiritually, to become sanctuary for one another? We’ll explore how we can create a community that is a blessing to the life of anyone who enters.
On Saturday, Karlos Moser will play music by Robert Schumann, and on Sunday, the Society Choir will sing the Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves, by Verdi.
