September 30 and October 1 – What Really Helps
Most of us are called upon to help one another on a daily basis – whether at home or at work, with a friend, partner or child. Usually we do what we can. Some of us feel compelled to help in any and every way we can even when others tells us we are going “above and beyond.” Helping is more complicated than we might originally think. When is too much? How do we know when to stop? How do we care for ourselves while helping others? We all have much to give, how do we when to give, when to stop, and what kind of helping is actually helpful?
On Saturday, Celtic harpists Rachel Avery, Karen Roberts, Cheryl Saltzman, and Linda Warren will play. On Sunday, the Meeting House Chorus will sing an arrangement of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah and Deep Peace by Bill Douglas, accompanied by harp quartet.
