Sunday, August 5 – “Spandrels: Exploring a Spirituality of Unintended Consequences”
Being a scientist, I am convinced that the world is a lawful, consistent place. However, I also know as a historian that this conviction can lead us to view the world as a mechanical, predictable, and controllable place, which it is not. Sometimes even our best plans lead us into situations we could not have predicted – how then will we respond, and how does Unitarian Universalism help us to make sense of a world that is, to some degree, always beyond our control?
Music will be provided by the Solstice Harp Ensemble, a group of eight celtic harps led by Assistant Music Director Linda Warren.
